Live not seeing Numerology

Hi Jim et al...
I got a new(ish) Macbook and clean installed Live 64-bit and N4.
N4 does not appear as a midi in or out in the Live midi ports.
Rewire is installed, because I can't quit Live without quitting N4, and the AU/VST versions are in place. Since I like to use Numerology as an external sequencer, how can I do what I have been doing for the past few years with Live/N3?

Setup a couple IAC busses using /Apps/Utilities/Audio MIDI Setup.app

… I dropped the virtual MIDI ports in N4 as several hosts apps had trouble keeping track of them -- since they aren't always around.

(and I've made a note to make a ReWire / IAC Buss video…)
