  • midi clock trouble

    hi everyone

So I'm trying to get Numerology to sync to a midi clock signal from my Roland MSQ700, so I can overdub onto tape with numerology-sequenced samples, time-synced to the time-code the MSQ700 writes onto the tape.

but when I turn the Sync IN options to incoming midi clock from my midi/usb connector and turn sync ON, then hit play on the MSQ, numerology goes haywire - the tempo starts jumping all over the place, and the cursor actually starts jumping all over my sequence, so it's just a big clattery mess.

It should be super-simple...send midi clock from my old-school sequencer into my computer and set Numerology to run on it. any ideas?

It sounds like you may have a MIDI loop going on. Email me a screenshot of your sync settings -- jim <at> five12 <dot> com.

    Thanks,
    Jim
