Hey Guys, I am curious, what do you mean by Stack midi delay ?

Each stack currently has a short audio delay (a.k.a. 'track delay') in the StackOut module. It can be used to manually compensate for latency -- say from a hardware synth whose audio is routed through Numerology for mixing. It is also used internally for plugin latency compensation. For instance, if a plugin reports 2 ms latency, audio from every other stack will be delayed by 2 ms to keep things aligned.

If you are doing your audio mix in Numerology, that should be all you need to manage latency internally (plugins) and externally (midi to hardware). Also, I should mention, this only applies to running standalone. For plugin and ReWire operation, latency management has to be done by the host.

Adding a MIDI delay option to the mix will allow you to compensate for hardware latency (usually only a ms or two) and do an external mix -- say on an analog mixer.

a big + for MIDI delay!

In my setup if I am using Elektron Analog 4's own seq MIDI-synced to Numerology I can hear A4 is little before my other MIDI gear. So I'd definitely like to have a change to put some "negative delay" to other MIDI stacks. This is important that delay is not only delay in literal sense. You can anticipate MIDI as well

Is there a workaround at the moment? I think you can do it in Mononote with groove, but then you need to do with every note or step? Also it seems that positive value puts notes earlier which is little misleading, or am I totally confused here?

Any news about Stack MIDI delay? Is it going to happen some day? I am still having some timing issues when I combine N4 seqs with hardware seqs.
